History
The USCGC Cape Jellison was commissioned in the 1970s and served along the U.S. East Coast. Known for its durability and strong capabilities, the vessel was responsible for maintaining essential navigational aids and assisting in search-and-rescue operations. Cape Jellison's role also extended to oil spill response and other environmental protection efforts. It helped ensure the safe passage of vessels in one of the busiest maritime regions, providing critical support for both commercial and recreational maritime activities. After many years of service, Cape Jellison was retired in favor of newer and more advanced vessels.
