Refund Policy

We want you to be happy! If you're not completely thrilled with one of our items, we will refund or exchange your order. Details and exceptions are outlined below for each brand.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you received the wrong item or the item was damaged:

  • You can exchange it for the correct item. If the correct item is not available, you can return it and we will issue a full refund.

  • We provide a return shipping label at no cost to you for wrong or damaged items.

Returns by Brand:

Iron Shipwrights, Old Modern Handicrafts, Amati, and Occre

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery.

  • Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers the cost of the free shipping we provide.

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer (except for wrong or damaged items, which we cover).

Handcrafted Model Ships (brand)

  • Returns accepted within 3 business days of delivery.

  • Returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee. This fee covers the cost of free shipping, handling, inspection, and any restocking fees charged by the manufacturer.

  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer (except for wrong or damaged items, which we cover).

Special Order Items

  • No returns accepted.

Refunds

  • Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card used when placing your order.

How the Damage and Return Policy Works

Returning a damaged item during shipping (lower 48 United States):

  1. Contact us immediately via text, phone at (786) 528-3274, or email help@adamamodelships.com (within 3 days of delivery). Claims after this period are void.

  2. Email pictures of the damage within 3 days of contacting us. These are required to file a damage claim with the shipping company.

  3. We will provide a prepaid return shipping label for the damaged or incorrect item.

Return of an item you are unsatisfied with (only applies to returnable items):

  1. Contact us immediately via text, phone, or email within the refund window for your item:

    • Iron Shipwrights, Old Modern Handicrafts, Amati, and Occre: 14 days from delivery

    • Handcrafted Model Ships (brand): 3 business days from delivery

  2. We will respond within 3 business days with return instructions. Please do not ship the item until we provide a return address.

  3. Package the item securely in its original packaging. Include all paperwork, parts, and accessories.

  4. Ship the item (at your cost) to the return address provided. We recommend insuring the shipment.

  5. Contact us with the tracking number.

  6. We will notify you once the item is received and in saleable condition.

  7. Refunds will be processed within 3–5 days, minus the applicable restocking fee.
