History & Provenance
The real Admiral Nakhimov (Kirov-class, hull 063) is a landmark of late-20th-century naval engineering. Launched in 1986 as Kalinin and renamed in 1992 in honor of Admiral Pavel Nakhimov, this Kirov-class battlecruiser reflects Cold War-era ambition and advanced naval design. Notable for its long-range capabilities and heavy armament, the vessel underwent an extensive modernization program in the 2010s to update its weapons, sensors, and electronics. Our model pays homage to that legacy, capturing the ship’s imposing profile and engineering spirit in miniature.
