    The Lady Nelson is modeled on a classic British cutter from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Originally developed by smugglers in Folkestone, her speed and agility quickly caught the attention of the Royal Navy. Cutters like the Lady Nelson were used for patrol and dispatch duties, with an unusually large spread of sail on a single mast.

    The original vessel was 52’ 6” at the keel, 17’ 6” wide, and carried around 30 officers and men, armed with 10 x 3-pounder carriage guns and 12 swivel guns on the bulwarks.

    This kit offers a rewarding building experience, combining historical authenticity with beginner-friendly design — perfect for collectors, hobbyists, and history enthusiasts alike.
