Brief history
USS Salt Lake City (CA-25) was a Pensacola‑class heavy cruiser commissioned in 1929. She served as a long‑range surface combatant and flagship during the interwar period and was heavily employed in the Pacific during World War II — escorting task forces and convoys, conducting shore bombardment in support of amphibious operations, and taking part in surface actions against Japanese forces. Salt Lake City received wartime refits (including increased AA and radar fit by 1944) and earned multiple battle stars for her service; she was decommissioned after the war.
Approximate model length (1/350 scale)
Typical Pensacola‑class overall length ≈ 600 ft. Calculation at 1/350 scale:
600 ft × 12 in/ft = 7,200 in; 7,200 in ÷ 350 ≈ 20.6 in
Estimated model kit length: about 20.6 inches (± small amount depending on the hull length used for the kit).
NOTICE: Model kit does not come with display stand.
