    Brief History

    USS Russell (DD-414) was a Sims‑class destroyer built in the late 1930s. Like her sister ships she performed neutrality patrols before Pearl Harbor and, during World War II, carried out convoy escort, carrier screening, anti‑submarine patrols and shore‑bombardment duties following wartime refits. Russell survived the war and was decommissioned and disposed of shortly after 1945.

    Approximate Model Length (1/350 scale)

    Sims‑class length overall ≈ 348 ft 3 in. At 1/350 scale that is about 11.9 inches (rounded to the nearest tenth).
