    Brief History

    USS Nashville (CL-43) was a Brooklyn‑class light cruiser built for the U.S. Navy and active during World War II. Brooklyn‑class cruisers were fast, relatively lightly armored ships mounting fifteen 6/47 guns in five triple turrets, designed for scouting, screening and shore‑bombardment duties. Nashville served in wartime operations—escort and screening for carriers and convoys, shore bombardment and support of amphibious landings—including major Pacific operations in 1944. Like her sister ships, she spent the war providing anti‑air and naval gunfire support and patrol/escort missions.

    Brooklyn‑class length overall ≈ 608 ft. At 1/350 scale that gives an approximate model length of 20.8 inches (rounded to the nearest tenth).
