Model History
USS Miami (CL-89) was a Cleveland‑class light cruiser commissioned in 1944 that served with the U.S. Pacific Fleet during the late stages of World War II. Like other Cleveland-class cruisers, she performed carrier escort and anti‑aircraft screening, took part in shore bombardment and fleet actions supporting amphibious operations, and earned campaign recognition for wartime service. After the war she was returned to the reserve fleet and eventually disposed of during the postwar drawdown.
Approximate Model Length (1/350 scale)
Cleveland-class length overall ≈ 610 ft. Converting to scale:
610 ft × 12 = 7,320 in → 7,320 ÷ 350 ≈ 20.914 in.
Rounded: approximately 20.9 inches (actual kit length may vary slightly depending on whether the tooling uses overall or waterline length).
