    Model history

USS Jouett (DD-396) — a Somers‑class destroyer named for Commodore James E. Jouett — was built in the late 1930s and commissioned just before the U.S. entered World War II. Like other Somers‑class ships she served as a fast multi‑role destroyer, spending the war on convoy escort, anti‑submarine patrol, screening and general fleet support duties (including operations in the Atlantic/Mediterranean area during 1943). She remained in wartime service through WWII and was taken out of front‑line service after the war.

    Scale & Dimensions

Somers‑class overall length ≈ 381 ft. At 1/350 scale that is about 13.1 inches (rounded to the nearest tenth). Note: actual resin kit length can vary slightly with hull version and any bow/stern details.

    Notes

NOTICE: Model kit does not come with a display stand. If product photos show a completed model, your kit will arrive unassembled and unpainted.
