Model history
- USS Hoga (YT‑146) was a Woban‑class yard tug built for the U.S. Navy around 1941 for harbor and towing duties.
- She is best known for her actions during the attack on Pearl Harbor (7 Dec 1941), where she helped fight fires, rescue personnel, and tow or assist damaged ships during the immediate salvage and firefighting efforts.
- Hoga continued to serve as a harbor/yard tug through World War II and remained in naval service in the postwar period performing routine towing, berthing and support duties.
Approximate model length (1/350 scale)
Typical Woban‑class yard tugs are about 100 feet long (≈30.5 m). At 1/350 scale this equates to: approximately 3.4 inches (≈8.6 cm). Note: actual kit length may vary slightly if the prototype tug differed from 100 ft; provide the exact prototype LOA for a precise recalculation.
Key notes
- If product photo shows a completed model, your kit will arrive brand new and unassembled.

- All models come with excellent customer support and free replacement parts — no questions asked.
