Brief history
USS Bogue (CVE-9) was an American Bogue‑class escort carrier commissioned during World War II. She served primarily in the Atlantic as an escort and hunter‑killer group flagship, protecting convoys and conducting anti‑submarine operations against German U‑boats. Bogue’s air groups and escorts were credited with multiple U‑boat kills and played a significant role in reducing the U‑boat threat before she was decommissioned after the war.
Approximate model length
The real Bogue had an overall length of about 492 feet. At 1/350 scale this converts to roughly 16.9 inches (492 ft × 12 in/ft ÷ 350 ≈ 16.9 in). Actual kit length may vary slightly depending on whether the kit reproduces overall length or waterline length and on any added bowsprits or fittings.
Please note: If the product photo shows a completed model, the kit you receive will be brand new and unassembled. Model does not include a display stand.
