The construction of these boats began in 1965 from an idea of Mr. Robert Newton, who was looking for a ship to suit his particular needs. The development started from a working boat — the trawler — quite common in North America and particularly in the Newfoundland area where the Grand Banks are located.

        • does the Grand Banks model ship come with English instructions and illustrated instruction pictures

          The Grand Banks Kit comes with an extensive instruction manual with both Italian and English.

          It has pictures and descriptions for almost every step. The plans have very little written instructions, but it is all in Italian.

          There are no translations to the few sentences that are there, in most cases like this, we would recommend either Google translate or checking Model Ship World for building logs, this kit has been around long enough to where I'm sure at least one person has documented their progress.
