The American Hacker Craft Thunderbird is presented as a 30-inch handcrafted scale of the celebrated 55-foot runabout commissioned in 1939 by George Whittell Jr. and built by John Hacker. Recreated using the same principles that made Hacker Craft iconic, this model honours the boat’s art deco lines and maritime heritage with meticulous, atelier-level workmanship.
Each model is constructed by hand using traditional plank-on-frame methods and premium woods. Every plank and frame is hand-fitted, finished to a mirror varnish, and assembled with precision to reproduce authentic interior details and hardware—true to the original Hacker Boat Company tradition (est. 1908).
